1. What is the goal of this site?
We have seen the commercials and pleas for funding for different
projects. The statistics and images depicting the degraded lifestyles of
some of the people in the Third World haunt us. For a few moments we all feel impressed on do something or more to help alleviate their condition.
We often feel powerless to help... and guilty at times for being too
comfortable. While
the above feelings and desire to "do more" are good, they often do not result in
any specific action. This site offers you a specific opportunity to become
involved and to make a difference. Now you can do more...
The goal of this site is to raise and mobilize significant resources for education,
relief, rehabilitation and development projects in Africa. Funds and
resources will be used administer and finance these projects. We plan to
do this partly by selling pixels / ad blocks on our home page and
partly through other means. Thanks for considering to be a part of this

2. Why is This Site Called One Million For Africa?
One Million signifies the goal of our fund raising project that we believe will start a
"ripple effect", a "chain reaction". This could be one of the
"tipping points" for Africa.

We are committed to "putting and giving
something back". We are compelled to use whatever means necessary.
This site is just one of the means we are employing to raise funds for development projects

13. What other fund raising plans do you have?
We are planning in the near future to apply for grants. We welcome your
input and suggestions if you have any information that you think will be
beneficial to us, such as grants we can apply for etc.

14. When will the Projects Start?
The projects will start after we have received sufficient funds to effectively initiate this. Effective permanent change is not
a one or five year project. This is an enormous
project that could potentially could change the destinies of nations.
15. Will I be able to find out how the money has been spent?
Yes, if you contribute to this cause. Our commitment to you will be to
provide you with progress updates for 5 years (from the launching of this site -
till the end of 2010). A few months after implementation starts we will email to
you a web site link where you can review (at your convenience anytime) project
progress (report, pictures and possibly video). We optionally can also
email to you progress updates. Kindly inform us when your email address
changes. Our gifted donors will be featured
on our wall of fame, receive a framed certificate of support (for each gift) and
a VHS video / DVD progress update annually.

16. Why don't you accept pornography, adult and gambling sites?
Our goal is to create a family-safe and family-friendly site that all families /
foundations / organizations will be proud of. We realize that many people would like to
contribute to causes that are "worthy". Also we want everyone to enjoy our clean site.
Point your link instead to your favorite charity or back to this site. No
adult material is permitted. Sorry.
17. Where did you get this fun raising idea from?
This inspiration to raise funds this way came partly from the
www.milliondollarhomepage.com.
When we reviewed this page, we were inspired to launch the funding of a vision
that had been in our hearts for over fifteen years. Portions of what we
are doing are entirely original.
